Sometimes I get horrible anxiety  and I&#8217;ve tried almost everything. Deep breathing exersizes, medication, tea, meditation,and calming compresses. so far, the only thing that works is yoga. But sometimes I&#8217;m so freaked out I can&#8217;t really focus completely. Do any of you guys have quik tips for axiety?</p>

So I started yoga on Monday I am out of shape the reason why is because I deal with anxiety and panic attacks so I figured try it it felt good but now I am really sore it hurts to walk and move even muscles by my chest and muscles I never felt before do I continue ? Do u think it might help me with anxiety and panick attacks ?</p>

<p><i>Answer by Laila</i><br/>It definitely will. You need to bring down your overall level of anxiety. Try meditation in addition to yoga. Also acupuncture (as long as you don&#8217;t have an ardent fear of needles) is very relaxing. Try no to overdo it at yoga, start off slow, and keep at it. If you lower your overall anxiety you&#8217;ll be less at the point of being pushed over the edge into a panic attack. Take care</p>

I have an anxiety disorder, and it has been getting a lot worse lately. I usually only get a couple hours of sleep because I am awake all night worrying, and even my test grades (and trust me, I&#8217;m a GREAT test taker) are lower because I can&#8217;t focus on my tests and I have been having panic attacks during school and serious acid reflux and headaches due to all my anxiety (and it&#8217;s not test anxiety, but sometimes it gets bad from other things before a test). I see a psychologist and we are working on some techniques to help ease the anxiety, but it just isn&#8217;t enough and I really think I need medication to be able to function. I&#8217;m in high school, and I don&#8217;t really know how to tell my mom that my anxiety is bad enough that I really need meds, and the thought of telling her just makes me even more anxious! Please help me! How should I bring it up and what should I say?</p>
<p>P.S. I&#8217;m not really looking for advice on how to deal with and treat my anxiety, I just need help with what to say to my mom</p>

<p><i>Answer by Chip</i><br/>Dear &#8230; print out what you typed here and give it to your mom to read. This is nothing to feel around with. You definitely need to be on medication. You need to see a teen psychiatrist for medication. They are the MDs trained in brain chemistry treatment. Untreated stress is dangerous to the health of the whole body and mind. Your adrenal glands are exhausted and can&#8217;t pump out enough anti-stress hormones to keep your brain chemistry in the normal range. When this happens all the organs of the body suffer because of lack of adequate anti-stress chemicals to protect them. Therapy is stronger anxiety cases is not effective without medication. Millions of teens need and take anti-anxiety medication to stay reasonable. Talk to your mom asap. Take care, Chip</p>

I am a horrible needle phobic. When I have to get my shots I hide in the bathroom for hours. My mom finally got me out so I held on to the lamp post on our driveway. One time they started talking about bloodwork and I started sobbing and tearing in the middle of the mall. I heard about going to an anxiety treatment center from a few friends (btw I am 12) and I wanted to know if there was any in the North/Central Jersey area. Thx!</p>

I have been having performance anxiety.  I need a good contraceptive where I can just stick it in without having to worry about using a condom or anything.  What would be a good for this?  I have asked about the pill and she will not go with that idea.</p>

then you should just use a condom<br />
unless you wanna get her pregnant<br />
and if you dont use a condom and she wont take the pill<br />
then try another birth control theres a few out there<br />
anf if not just do fore play</p>

For the first kind, understand that anxiety is a way the sympathetic nervous system reacts to stressful or harmful situations.  Knowing that&#8230; learn relaxation techniques like breathing and mental rehearsals.  If you experience anxiety in everyday situations, medical attention would probably be very beneficial to you.</p>

I&#8217;m pretty sure I have Social Anxiety Disorder. I don&#8217;t have the money to get a proper diagnosis, but it can&#8217;t possibly be anything else. It makes life&#8230;existence&#8230;a nightmare. How can I get rid of the fear of being around people? Is there a drug that can do this, without making me dopey? Or, is there some self-hypnosis that can help?</p>
<p><strong>Best answer:</strong></p>
<p><i>Answer by Man Card Investigations</i><br/>I dated a girl with S.A.D. for a while.  There are several treatments, and they very person to person, and even by the season for some people.  Asking for a quick fix on Yahoo Answers probably wont resolve this issue.</p>
<p>What helped my ex the most was simply informing my friends of the situation.  They all thought it was pretty weird, but worked with me on it.  She always hated going out of her house because she thought she would say the wrong thing, then it would all get worked up in her head&#8230; and down the slippery slope of imagination she went&#8230;.</p>
<p>It took a lot to educate myself on it too.  the first three dates we went on, we didn&#8217;t even talk.  by the fifth date she was starting to feel comfortable around me, and by the 10th date she was ok with me, and I started taking her to social gatherings&#8230; all in all it took about 2 years to get her to cope with and be comfortable with small social gatherings with friends.  she is still afraid to go outside, or order at restaurants, but her circle of friends increases gradually as she gets more comfortable around people.</p>

<p><i>Answer by ladygirly</i><br/>relax yourself before sit down . here is wat i do i pretend i am in a more dangerous situation like a killer is chacing you through the park and your only hope is to go on the roller coaster anything that is worse than the situation that you are in will work. i have anxiety also this works for me . best of luck</p>
